Just what I have ALWAYS WANTED
An intellectual justification for your 17th viewing of Cruel Intentions
Slate, this is why I love you.
That come-on from Sarah Michelle Gellar's character that they won't print? It's "You can put it anywhere."
Oh yeah -- I said it!

Gotta love the guilty pleasures, especially when one of them is Cruel Intentions. Yes, I admit now. I like this movie...a lot. I could make up some intellectual reasons as to why – decent modern adaptation of 'Dangerous Liaisons,' Ryan Phillippe's channeling of John Malkovich's Valmont (even downed to the pursed lips) and SMG's empowering matriarchal attitude, and a great soundtrack – but what it all just comes down to is that I really like this movie for nothing else then pure entertainment, despite the crappy contrived ending. Too bad Keanu Reeves doesn’t make an appearance as a dopey musician.
God, I love that 'Every Me, Every You' song.
Amen. it gets heavy rotation on bob's (my ipod) gym playlist.
