Better late than never, maybe

So I went and got myself one of these "blog" things. Even though I work in media and probably should have been all over that about three years ago, frankly, I'm just a little lazy in that regard. Witness:

circa 1994: Hey, these "CD" things seem like they're here to stay. Maybe I should look into that.

1996: O.K., guess it's time to buy a stereo.

2002: So, the New York Times is a really good newspaper! It's actually a lot better than the hometown paper I've been reading my whole life! I feel so informed right now. It occurs to me that had I grown up reading the Times instead of the Columbus Dispatch, I might have wanted to persue a career in newspaper reporting. A small tear is shed for what could have been.

But then -- Jayson Blair. I might have had to work with him. So maybe it's all for the best.

2003: I start watching Dawson's Creek in reruns after the show has been cancelled. A little overdramatic, but not half bad! Pacey's kinda hot.

2004: I think I need an iPod.

June 2005: I just got a new phone...with a camera in it! Coincidentally, my boyfriend gets a new digital camera and gives me his old one. Not only is this my first digital camera, it's the first camera of any sort that I've owned in three years. Memories will soon be mine!

I'd say I was on a roll, but...

2005: I've never seen Fight Club. Someone is shocked by this at a rate of about once a week. I sometimes feel compelled to say I've been meaning to rent it, but clearly that's not the case. I've also never seen Mansfield Park, but my roommate and Rebecca might be the only people who are truly appalled by that (OK, granted, we do own it).

Someone in a nearby cube at work has the Fight Club soundtrack on his ringtone and it goes off unchecked several times a day, forcing everyone without headphones on to listen to it. That counts for something, right?
